The reason to pay above Tanacom 1200 is not a vague “premium” label. Daiwa publishes the same large 80 lb braid capacity class with higher maximum drag, an aluminum body and substantially higher momentary winding power. Those advantages earn their place only when the boat has a named repeated-load job for them.

The labels matter. Sixty-six pounds is maximum drag. One hundred eight pounds is momentary winding power. Do not present either as a continuous lifting promise, and do not divide Sea Power's momentary number by Tanacom's differently labeled maximum winding-power figure.

The line-input problem comes before the first drop

A reel with 1,110 yd of named capacity still needs the amount actually installed. A different 80 lb braid can have a different diameter, and a bulk spool label is not a substitute for the measured amount placed on the reel.

Sea Power 1200 earns its price when repeated heavy retrieval is the problem the boat needs to remove. Its capacity is not meaningfully larger than Tanacom 1200; its reason for existing is the stronger published load package around that capacity class.
